About Us
VRH’s unique capabilities and collections experience date back to VRG’s founding during the savings and loan crisis. As one of the original 30 partnerships established to perform asset recovery work of the FDIC/RTC in the early 1990’s, VRG is now one of only three that remain in place, due to our distinction as the highest performing partner.
During the administration of Ohio Attorney General Betty Montgomery, we approached the OAG with the concept and proposal to perform “archive debt” collections. This pilot program was then instituted under Attorney General Jim Petro with VRH as a “distressed debt collector” and the contract has continued through to this day.
VRH is able to call upon the expertise and experience of professionals within our organization with experience in student loans, FDIC, and international loan and guaranty collections (as the exclusive international collection agent to the Export-Import Bank of the U.S.), in addition to our long-term archive or distressed debt experience for the OAG. VRH’s parent company and its subsidiaries also maintain contracts for debt collection with the Export-Import Agencies of Japan, Germany and the Netherlands, as well as asset management/recovery contracts with the FDIC, the Export-Import Bank of the United States, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and private portfolios. VRH is also a teaming partner with The CBE Group, based in Waterloo, IA, to conduct student loan collection work on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education. VRH has held this contract since 2008.
